Monstera acacoyaguensis
2 inch pot
Monstera acacoyaguensis is a tropical evergreen vine native to Mexico and Central America. When immature, it has green lanceolate (lance-shaped) leaves. As it matures and is allowed to climb, it develops large, glossy, heart-shaped leaves with deep lobes and a unique split-leaf pattern. The leaves can grow up to 12 inches long and 8 inches wide. Its small, yellowish flowers form in clusters. For optimal growth, Monstera acacoyaguensis should be kept in bright indirect light and watered regularly when the top inch of soil is dry. It prefers a well-draining potting soil that is high in organic matter. Monstera acacoyaguensis is an excellent choice for hanging baskets or climbing up trellises or poles. It can also be grown in pots on tables or shelves for an attractive display. Its large, fenestrated leaves are quite spectacular.
