Meet the most famous Aloe of them all - Aloe vera. Aloe vera has been cultivated and used as medicine worldwide for over 2,000 years. Hailing from the Arabian peninsula, this rosette forming, stemless plant readily produces ‘pups’, or genetically identical offspring, that can be easily divided out of the pot. The foliage can be cut and the flesh used to treat burns and other medical ailments - making it the perfect kitchen plant. Aloe vera produces a tall, inflorescence spike with several bright yellow flowers to beautify any home.
