Begonia ‘Tiger’ is a compact rhizomatous Begonia belonging to the Begoniaceae family. This well known hybrid was developed in the 1970s. With its striking chartreuse and copper colored foliage, the patterns slightly resemble the fur of wild felines. Begonia ‘Tiger’ is referred to as an ‘eyelash begonia’ for the little hairs that develop along the edges of the leaves. Plants readily flower in spring and are beautiful clusters of light pink with darker pink spots. Plant collectors value Begonias for how easy they are to propagate using the leaf, stem, rhizome, or seed.
