Peperomia cubensis is a tropical perennial native to Central and South America. It has thick, succulent-like leaves that are dark green in color with a glossy sheen. The leaves are oval-shaped and have a slightly wavy edge. The flowers are small and white, growing in clusters on long stems. It prefers bright, indirect light but can tolerate some shade. Water when the top inch of soil is dry, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings. Peperomia cubensis prefers a well-draining potting mix such as one made of peat moss, perlite, and vermiculite. It has a vining habit, reaching up to 12 inches tall when mature. Peperomia cubensis is an attractive and easy to care for plant that is perfect for brightening up an indoor space.
