AKA "Pregnant Onion," "Frizzle Sizzle"
3 inch pot
Albuca bracteata, also known as the "Pregnant Onion" is a succulent bulb which received its nickname as its bulb strongly resembles an onion. It is native to South Africa and is found in rocky and sandy areas and is well suited to dry climates. It has thin, grass-like leaves which are green with yellow stripes and white edges, grow in a clump, and measure up to 12 inches long. Its small, white flowers have a yellow center and are held above the foliage on thin, wiry stems. It is a great choice for a container garden, rock garden, or for adding texture to a garden bed.
