Begonia Rex ‘River Nile’ is a stunning tropical plant native to India and Southeast Asia. Its dark red-brown edged green leaves are ruffled and spiral toward the center. Flowers are small and white or pale pink in color, appearing in the late winter or early spring. This begonia prefers bright indirect light and should be watered when the top inch of soil is dry. It does best in a well-draining potting mix that contains peat moss or coco coir. This popular begonia has an upright habit and can reach up to 12 inches tall. It has a compact and clump-forming habit and looks best when planted in small pots or hanging baskets.
