Epiphyllum oxypetalum AKA Queen of the Night
4 inch pot
Epiphyllum oxypetalum, also known as Queen of the Night, is a tropical cactus native to Central and South America. It has long, flat, oval-shaped leaves that are dark green in color and can reach up to 12 inches in length. Its stunning sweet fragrant white flowers bloom only one night a year. Watering should be done sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings. It prefers bright indirect light but can tolerate some direct sun. When potting, use a well-draining soil mix such as cactus mix or a combination of potting soil and perlite. Epiphyllum oxypetalum is an epiphytic plant that grows best when attached to a support structure such as a trellis or fence. It can also be grown in hanging baskets or on top of shelves or tables. With proper care, it will reward you with its beautiful blooms!
